Her Journey
Maya Giordano grew up in Northvale, New Jersey, throwing for Northern Valley Regional alongside her fraternal twin, Layla — both earning All-County honors before taking their throws to the next level (Maya to Delaware, Layla to Princeton).
Now a sophomore for the Delaware Blue Hens, Maya competes across the hammer, weight throw, and shot put. After a freshman season of fast growth — multiple hammer throws past 46 meters — she's chasing personal bests and program records.
